Grandma's House

About this time of year I really start missing my grandma. She was the most awesome grandma ever. When we were kids she would play kick ball or wiffle ball with us. She was always the pitcher. Grandma was tons of fun. I used to spend a week almost every summer with her. That was so awesome. I got to hang out with grandma and do whatever I wanted. She totally spoiled me.

Grandpa was there too, but he didn't play with us. I helped take care of him while I was there. He was diabetic. Grandpa had to do insulin shots. I used to say,"It's time to shoot yourself Grandpa". He would laugh and do his shot. I love finding stuff that used to be Grandmas. Her house just had that unique smell. I can't describe it. It's just one of those things that brings back lots of great memories. I miss that house.

I caught grandma toasting marshmallows over the burner on the gas stove once. That was awesome. Grandma was a tough old bird. She totaled the car once. Played chicken with a combine. The combine won. Grandpa hit her with the car once. Just skinned the knees and hands.

Grandma is in heaven now. I really miss her. She was a great person. Didn't know a stranger, and was super proud of her kids and grand kids. I think about her a lot, especially around Christmas. Grandmas birthday was Christmas Day. It was always,"Merry Christmas, Happy Birthday". Well, I hope she is enjoying heaven, and knows we miss her a whole bunch. I love you Grandma.

Tipsy Randomness

Tonight I had a little too much wine. I was super happy tho. The buzz has worn off now, which is really disappointing. It was an awesome buzz. Now I'm tired, but I think I'm fighting sleep a little. I hope the wine doesn't come back to haunt me in the morning. I'm gonna see if I can get some sleep. Later Dudes.

Randomness on Turkey Day

Last night I was fighting back a panic attack. I won this time. Forgot to take my medicine yesterday. Not a good thing. Hopefully when I get up later all will go well. Headed to Iowa early in the morning and of course I can't sleep. Excited to see the family though. Will be on a farm so should be fun. Why do I always get hungry around this time? It's gonna be a cold day. Probably too cold for some quality farm kitty time, damn. Well, I should probably try to get some sleep. Gobble, Gobble, Happy Turkey Day Everyone!!

Random Thoughts.......Again.

I really need to update this thing more often. Where to start? I'm gonna go with last Saturday. I went to a Royals game and sat in front of and next to the worst families ever. The family behind me consisted of a mom, dad, son, friend of son, daughter and daughters 9 month old kid. Did I mention it was like 86 degrees out? The baby cried most of the game. When she wasn't crying her mother was complaining about how terrible grandma was. This girl couldn't have been more than 15 or 16. They pretty much complained about everything. Thankfully they left early. It was so much quieter when they left. The family next to me got up constantly. I'm pretty sure the 15 year old was trying to look down my shirt. Hopefully the next game I go to is much more enjoyable.

Now on to tonight. I rented "It's Complicated" from a certain colored container. We were almost done watching the movie and it froze. People who don't know how to hold DVD's piss me off. One little smudge fubars the movie for everybody else. To who ever rented the movie before me, "Learn how to hold a DVD dumbass". A little spit shine and the movie was as good as new. I guess that's it. I have to go to the dentist in the morning, yay, NOT!! 9:00 is too early for any kind of appointment. Later gators!!

Totally Random

Well, so far 2010 sucks. Still haven't found a job. My car is so old the paint is fading. I'm laying in bed typing this on my phone because I can't sleep. My cat Murry is laying next to me dreaming. Keeps twitching. I really wish I could sleep. Some idiot just drove by. *YAWN* I guess that's a good sign. Maybe I can sleep now. Good Night, Sweet Dreams.

Stop asking me to donate to Haiti

I'm tired of having "donate to Haiti" crammed down my throat. I get it, Haiti needs help. Why is it that the United States is always the one that "has" to help? When did it become our responsibility? Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that we shouldn't help Haiti. I'm saying stop shoving it in peoples faces to donate. All I've heard for like 3 days is "donate to Haiti" and "worst earthquake ever". We get it, earthquakes suck, Haiti needs help. Seeing the destruction once is plenty. It's time for the news people to talk about something else. I'm all for having updates on Haiti every couple of days, but hearing about it every day is starting to borderline on over kill. Alright, I'm done venting. Next time my post will be much happier.

Randomness

The pain in my side hasn't gone away yet, but at least it's not a constant pain any more. I do however have a back ache now. Yay, Not. The person that created the heat pad is awesome. Anyways, it is so flippin cold outside. It's totally gonna snow on Wednesday and then get really cold. We could get up to 6 inches. There's already a foot on the ground. After thinking about it I say bring it on, cuz I don't have any where I need to be. I could use a job though.

The band on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon tonight sucks. That's just my opinion. Anyhoo, My birthday is this month. WooHoo!! I really hope my back feels better in the morning. My car is still covered with snow and totally needs some attention. I guess that's all for tonight. There should be more randomness soon. Good Night all.

More Random Thoughts

I just paid my first bill of the new year. Bills suck. I woke up this morning with a pain in my right side. On a scale of 1 to 10 I would rank it an 8. It is very uncomfortable. I wish it would go away. I'd rather be out enjoying the foot of snow that is on the ground here. Yup, that's how much we got on Christmas. I didn't do much over Christmas break. Played some Nintendo Wii and some Band Hero on Playstation 2. I did do some kitty sitting. That was fun. It's weird tending to kitty litter and having a treadmill growl at you. Other than that I had a fairly uneventful Christmas.
